Interview with Avi "T3rRoar" Dixit
In each edition of this newsletter E-Sports Chat will feature an in-depth interview with an influential figure in the gaming community. This month, Avi "t3rroar" Dixit escapes from the unknown with revelation into his projects and his plans since the sale of his multi-gaming clan TGS - The Terroarized Gaming Syndicate.
Would you please introduce yourself?
Hi all, my name is Avi Dixit, known mostly as T3rRoar throughout the community. Not much to say about me other than, some people view my accomplishments as failures in the past, but I'm still here and will continue to be here until everyone sees all my projects as a success. Smile.
You recently released Esportslistings.com, a portal for connecting the players, managers, teams and sponsors in the community with a format similar to newspaper classifieds. Do you have any plans to expand Esportslistings.com further or to develop any other new projects?
Yes in fact we just raised a couple hundred dollars EXTRA, meaning we have money to put into projects where we do not expect a large volume of revenue. Which means, that money is already being put into a new design and a new system to help our struggling community. We realize that there are certain set-backs on the current site as far as user abilities, but we listen to the community and are working as fast as we can. We are also talking with several 'world' class team organizations and will be looking forward to doing some neat things with them. Keep in mind, ESportsListings.com is a free tool, meaning we do not receive direct monetary deposits when people use our tool, so updates will come slower than projects we plan to release that are opposite of this. However, we are working on making some major changes.
What are you hoping to accomplish with and through Esportslistings.com?
I'd like to see everyone using it as a first stop shop to look for players, teams, managers, staff and etc. I also want upper level teams to use it without being ashamed, which is something we are working on with 'upper level' teams to fully understand how to make it so they are more comfortable posting on it. We are in fact getting some remarkable responses and teams really wanting to help, that alone makes me want to give 120% on this project. Give us time, we've just opened and are growing quickly.
Some have been saying that your upcoming ESBuilder is an opponent to companies such as ESportsEA, and various others. Could you explain what exactly ESBuilder is, and what it has that other companies do not already offer?
Unfortunately, I really do not want to giveaway any information about this project. I would like to keep this a surprise since it will be one of my best works of art. A direct opponent of ESEA? Not this time. ESportsBuilder will be a whole new genre on its own. It will no longer be, "ESEA OR ESBuilder." It can now be, "ESEA and ESBuilder." Meaning, that we will not directly bump heads, as we share no common features with ESEA or other competitors.
After, personally, being 'exposed' to some of your classes & lessons, I was quite impressed. Why should anyone attend one of your classes or purchase one of your lessons?
If they are an avid gamer, looking to have fun with a few friends, I would not recommend them to my lessons or book. It has to be people passionate about making a name for themselves and their organizations and looking to play on a whole new level. I guess you can say people who wish to step out from being an 'amateur' and hopefully climb the ladder to the 'professional' scene. On top of that, my lessons are designed to fit around your needs.
Well, it's been an honor talking to you sir. Do you have any closing shout-outs?
I would like to thank you for holding this interview, our partner TheFragStore.com for helping us so early, and to all the hard working staff making my dream a reality. Special shout-out to Sasquatch, director of events at Cyberzone-PA, for giving me ample room in their facilities to conjure up whatever promotional events my crazy mind can come up with. I also wish that some of you readers come out and check out our website and don't be hesitant to drop me an e-mail () if you ever need help with anything!
Thank You Avi "T3rRoar" Dixit.
